PlanningWe’ll meet in person, or on Zoom, to get to know each other. I will ask you lots of questions about your relationship, your lives and how you met to get a picture of you as a couple and as individuals.
We will discuss readings, music and any other elements you want to include. This could be exchanging wedding rings, ring warming, handfasting, sand blending or tree planting. You may also like to include something from your own culture or something you have made up. All ideas are welcome. I might ask you to do some 'homework' or send me some more information between meetings to help shape your ceremony. |
Writing your ceremonyOnce we have met and I have got to know you and your story, I will go away and put it into a script, carefully including the elements we've talked about. I will be guided by your vision of the day to come up with something heartfelt, original and true to you.
I'll send you a draft to look at, ask for feedback and make any changes you want , to ensure you're 100% happy before your big day. |
RehearsingI am happy to do a rehearsal if this is possible in your chosen venue.
This doesn't mean running through the whole ceremony. Instead we will talk through any practicalities, practice entrances, exits, any symbolic acts and make sure everyone is involved knows what they are doing. If a rehearsal isn’t possible, then I will still find ways to make sure everyone feels comfortable with their role and what they are doing on the day. |
On the dayI only ever take one wedding booking per day. This means that I am completely committed and dedicated to your day.
I will be there from well before your ceremony starts making sure everything is set up and ready for you. I'll check on practicalities like music, rings and readings. And last minutes checks that everyone involved knows what they are doing. You don’t have to worry about any delays or hiccups on the day, as I'm all set to problem solve and smooth the way. I’m there with you until you move into the next part of your celebrations, whatever they might be. |
