About Me

A head and shoulders photo of Zoe. She has pale skin, dark eyes and grey wavy hair in a short bob. She is wearing a dress with a brightly coloured print and smiling.
I believe that your wedding ceremony should be as unique and special as your love story. That's why I love working closely with couples to create a personalised ceremony that reflects your personalities, values and the things that matter to you.

I was inspired to train as a Humanist celebrant after being asked to marry two dear friends of mine in a historic barn in Wiltshire in 2016. To be trusted with something so precious and meaningful to them was moving, mildly terrifying and utterly, utterly joyful. It proved to be one of the most rewarding and uplifting experiences of my life to date and I have never looked back.

What a wonderful job, celebrating people’s individual stories of love and their heartfelt commitments to each other!  I feel deeply honoured to be able to continue this work, making each couple’s special day truly unique, memorable and distinctive.
My own wedding ceremony was off grid in a beautiful woodland, so it’s probably no surprise that I love conducting ceremonies outdoors in nature and am definitely not put off by the UK weather!

I worked in events for many years so have a good understanding of what will work for different sized groups of guests, and in different types of venues. I also spent several years working as a performer and performance director at festivals in the UK and beyond, so if a funky festival style wedding is your thing then I am here to make your colourful, sparkly dreams come true!

As a wedding celebrant trained, accredited, and insured by Humanists UK you can be assured that I work to the highest professional standards. This includes following the Humanists UK Ceremonies Code of Conduct and engaging in ongoing professional development.

When I'm not designing and delivering ceremonies I love reading, gardening, wild(ish) swimming, knitting, sewing (I made my own wedding dress and definitely don't recommend that for stress-free wedding prep!) and persuading my very sweet-natured but rather nervous rescue dog Boots to go for a walk.
